I have no idea where I was going with this. I do know there's a note on the bottom that says, "Note to self: before you can write the rest of this, you need to find out exactly how recording works." Which is probably why I never finished it.
Patrick gets the call three weeks into the Young Wild Things tour.
“Hey,” Brendon says. “So I know you’re touring and all, but we really want you to sing on this one song, if you can stay in Vegas for a few days when you’re done. If you want to, that is.”
“Yeah, dude, I’d love to,” Patrick says, barely even thinking about it. “I don’t know what we’re doing when the tour wraps up, but I can make sure I’m there for a few days.”
“Cool,” Brendon says, managing to sound enthusiastic and relaxed at the same time. “So how’s everything going?”
“It’s good. The tour’s going well, which is always – well, you know how touring is.”
“How about you?”
“Great. We’re finally where we want to be with this album, you know?” Brendon says. “We start recording next week, which is awesome. [finish this]”
“That’s great, man.”
They talk for a while longer before Patrick has to go warm up for the show that night.
